Mercury in Virgo: It’s all about the deets

Mercury in Virgo

August 5th - August 25th

September 24th - October 10th

Mercury, that fast moving planet, takes a ride through the grounded intelligent sign of Virgo starting August 5th through August 25th. Pay attention to the details - you may have opportunities to impress others with your brilliance.

Okay, I’m getting ahead of myself. Mercury is the planet of transportation, commerce, travel and communications. Virgo is the strong earth sign focused on health, well-being and our jobs (not career) and day to day life. Putting these two together makes us want to get into the systems of how our life works and how we can keep that moving.

A Virgo Mercury is a truth teller. So while you may hear some feedback that can seem harsh or blunt, just remember, a Virgo Mercury is giving you ideas to help make you better. It just might be a little hard to swallow.

Since Virgo is all about the details, you’d be wise to double check plans you make, re-read emails before you send, review receipts or contracts for pricing details. Make things clear and concise.

Mercury is going retrograde September 9th through October 1st.  During that time, Mercury will take a walk back through Virgo from September 24th through the end of Mercury Retrograde and heading into more balanced Libra on October 11th. Anything you do during the first stint of Virgo Mercury (August 5th - August 25th) may need to be revised or corrected. I’ll talk more about Mercury Retrograde in a future blog but in the meantime, the Virgo Mercury is actually getting you ready for retrograde. It forces you to pay more attention to how you’re communicating.

Bottom Line?  Be confident in chatting with people about how amazing you are. You’ve got the facts to back it up so it’s important you speak of and are proud of who you are. Details are critical - make sure you are clear in your relaying of information and in asking questions. It’ll save you so much time.
