I have read the
chapters over,
looked at my
story
and reviewed
all the words.
I've thought
about the impact,
what has
happened to bring me
to this next
chapter in my life.
It's been a
story of twists and turns,
unexpected
changes, disappointments
and happiness.
All rolled into one.
It brings
wisdom to me,
seeing the
places I've been
and the
chapters I have written.
Because I can't
fool myself
into thinking
that
someone else
has written this story.
It's my story.
It's my words.
My experiences
have
inspired the
life that is now
on these pages.
The pages I can
review
but not change.
The pages I can
read
but choose not
to re-live.
The blank pages
ahead.
The chapters I
still have to write
because there
is no way
my story ends
here.
Players still
need their stage -
their entrance
and exit.
Drama, comedy,
it is all
still playing
out, because
I am the main
character
narrating the
story.
So as I take up
my pen,
and write my
next adventure,
I have a choice
to make it
one of great
growth and
excitement.
It's my story -
and now, I will
write it as I wish.
