I make choices every day

whether I am happy or sad

whether I win or lose

how I take it, how I make it.

I make those choices

from the second I open my eyes

to the moment I drift away

I determine how it all happens.

It's empowering and terrifying

all at the same time.

Am I really responsible for my life?

my hopes, my dreams, my actions?

It doesn't happen overnight

putting these plans into motion.
