Michael Jordan once said, "If you're trying to
achieve, there will be roadblocks. I've had them; everybody has had them. But
obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and
give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it."
It's up to you how you chose to handle those
obstacles. Because let's face it - not many things in life come quickly or
easily. Giving up is much easier.
Sometimes, you have to start with identifying what
is stopping you. Are they really your obstacles? Could they be someone else's
thoughts that you are owning?
Once you figure that out, you have to look at the
obstacles around you and decide how you're going to move through them. Do you
have to ask for help? Is it doing something differently? Is it getting more
education? Is it taking a chance?
Your fear may rise up during this time. "Can
you do it? Should you do it? Disaster, crisis, craziness, failure - watch
out!" And then you must tell your fears to go away. If it is something you
are truly passionate about, your fears aren't serving you. Yes, pause and look
at them and then tell them "Buh-Bye".
Anything is possible with positive thought and
action. If you're not sure where to start, just pick somewhere. You'll be
amazed at how it will all fall into place.
