Shine On, Baby, Shine On

You are beautiful,
talented, and bright.
Light surrounds and
beams from you.
You can try to hide it
but it won't work.
There is too much
love and light within you
for others not to see.
Don't be surprised
when others recognize you
for who you are.
The more you are in touch
with who you are,
the brighter you will shine.
And why not?
Who says you shouldn't
illuminate the world?
Who says you aren't
as worthy as others?
Because you are.
There is nothing...

Welcome Back, Dear Sun

I watched the Sun go down
the light was fading and I felt my fear
It was now darkness
I never thought I'd see the light again
It seemed to take so long
for the brightness to come back
I saw flickers in the shadows
but never a full fledged light
and I thought the light had left me
I could hear nothing
it was so quiet
it was like the earth had abandoned me
I was alone, dark, quiet,
how long would it last?
 
But time passed
even if it was slow
it still passed

I Walk In The Sun

I walk in the Sun,
feel the light on my skin,
breathe in the air,
connect to the earth.
It all seems so simple.
The sounds of life all around me
but life of nature, not life itself -
no cell phone, tv, ipod or laptop.
I walk in the Sun.
It shines it warmth on me.
I feel comfortable in its rays
holding me gently
as it takes away the drama.
It reminds me of the simple things.
The pleasure I take for granted
by just taking a walk.
I'm usually too distracted
to see all the riches
waiting for me, ...
