People on the outside and
voices that aren't yours?
Maybe they know better,
you say, how could I know?
How could you not?
What is best for you
can only be determined by you.
Missteps you have made
in the past make you believe
that you don't know what's best.
Aren't mistakes part of learning?
You grow from your mistakes,
you see diamonds in the rough,
opportunities in the challenges,
so why aren't mistakes
a part of your learning curve
while you're here?
Yes, they are no fun
but they are ways
you see exactly how strong you are.
So no mistake is really a mistake,
it's a time to learn
what you're made of inside and outside.
So that voice,
the one that should have the loudest sound,
the biggest influence,
the most weight in a decision,
is your own.
Trust yourself and you'll find
the more you listen
to your own sweet voice,
the more you stay true
to who you really are.
And no one else, no matter
how well they know you,
can do that for you.
Listen to the your whisper
because once you do,
it will grow into your own powerful roar.
