I looked in the mirror today
and saw my reflections
the life I have led
the choices I have made
the emotions in my eyes

The mirror was asking me to look
to see the reflections
to remember what I have been through
the places I am going
the joy of today

The light illuminated it all
the reflections I was experiencing
I could see the bruises, the scars,
the smiles, the tears,
all that I am made of, all that I will be

There is no avoiding it
the reflections I must see
I have to face what faces me
I acknowledge all in front of me
I rejoice in the adventures

These are my reflections
I see them looking back at me
I see all of my existence
and I reflect on all the beauty in me
I am proud of who I am
